The Bendheim Thoman Center for Research on Child Wellbeing (CRCW) is an interdisciplinary center at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Office of Population Research. Our mission is to stimulate basic research, educate faculty and students about issues related to children's policies, and influence policymakers and practitioners at the federal, state, and local levels.

CRCW supports two initiatives: the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study, a longitudinal study of approximately 5,000 families born in large U.S. cities at the end of the 1990s, and the Future of Children, a journal for policy makers, practitioners, advocates, and researchers. In conjunction with the journal, we host a variety of outreach activities such as conferences and public events aimed at national and local policymakers and practitioners.
